Brand Design

Kokes Design

Project Overview

Role
Design Director

Kokes Design is a creative space for developing concept driven visuals shaped by clarity, mood, and editorial sensibility.

This project was less about building a traditional brand system and more about creating a distinct visual language. My focus was on translating ideas into form through typography, composition, image treatment, and tone. I wanted the work to feel thoughtful and expressive, with each element contributing to a stronger visual presence rooted in concept, atmosphere, and point of view.

⟣ Concept and Visual Exploration

My process begins with an idea, then moves through visual exploration to find the right form, tension, and tone. Rather than relying on fixed branding conventions, I approached this project as a space to experiment with visual language in a more open and intuitive way. The goal was to create something that feels composed and intentional while still leaving room for expression, contrast, and discovery.

⟣ Image, Composition, and Art Direction

What interests me most is how visuals can communicate a feeling or concept before anything is explained. Through layout, image relationships, typography, and pacing, I shaped a language that feels editorial, atmospheric, and visually precise. Every decision was made to strengthen the mood of the project and give it a more memorable and distinct presence.

⟣ Creative Direction in Practice

This project allowed me to explore how a visual idea can carry across different applications while still feeling unified in tone. Rather than focusing on formal consistency for its own sake, I was more interested in building a world with its own internal logic and character. The result is a body of work that feels connected through mood, restraint, and concept rather than repetition.

✦ Project Insight

For me, this project was an opportunity to explore design as a conceptual and visual practice. It was less about defining a brand in a conventional sense and more about creating a body of work that reflects how I think, how I see, and how I translate ideas into visual form. What matters most is not just the outcome, but the clarity of the concept and the feeling the work leaves behind.
